It was coincidental that Jon and I moved to the US around the same time. Subsequently, I was asked to play on his second record which was produced by Randy Jackson (The American Idol TV show judge). I remembered seeing Randy play bass with Billy Cobham years earlier when I visited the US as a teenager. This was my first significant recording session in the US. Jon was here with his family, and Barbarella, who co-wrote and played keys.

Quite often, I was seen hanging out with them at their place on Venice beach, and consequently had to overcome my fear of skates, (because they all roller bladed for recreation) and finally learnt to get around on them (a little!).
